Joseph J. Mieczkowski, age 72 of Shelton, Connecticut, beloved husband of Patricia Mieczkowski passed away in his home on Friday, July 13th, 2018. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Veronica Mieczkowski. A resident of Shelton for the past 20 years, Joseph also known as "Mr. Mitch", taught at J. M. Wright Technical School in Stamford, and Bullard Havens Technical School in Bridgeport. While teaching at both schools, he enjoyed coaching the Girls Softball Teams and refereed for High School Volley Ball and Soft Ball teams. Joseph held a Specialist, 5th class rank in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
